At Insight, we believe every young person deserves to be truly seen, heard and understood. We recognise their strengths and potential, no matter what they have experienced. We welcome all referrals, with particular expertise in supporting care-experienced young people, those who are fostered, adopted, in kinship care or living in residential settings.
Our team has many years of supporting young people in care, navigating challenges, sharing milestones and celebrating progress. We understand the sleepless nights, the behaviour that speaks volumes, and the hope that sustains. Our approach is rooted in a deep understanding of trauma and the systems that shape young lives.
We explore cognitive, emotional, behavioural and neurodevelopmental needs, recognising strengths as well as challenges.
Behaviour is communication. We seek to understand the ‘why’, and support young people who are neurodivergent, those who have experienced trauma, or both.
Our reports are practical, clear and focused, intended for care teams, schools and families so that people can act on recommendations.
From the Highlands to Cornwall, we travel to where children are, partnering with local authorities, agencies, schools and care homes.
We listen first, to the young person, carers, teachers and other trusted adults. The young person’s voice is always central. We do more than write reports; we help design plans that pave the way towards brighter futures.
Whether you’re a social worker, carer, educator or parent, we’re here to help understand and support children through independent, specialist, trauma‑informed assessments.
