The People Behind the Practice

Years of listening, understanding, and walking alongside care‑experienced children and young people.

Where Our Work Began

Our work has grown out of years of listening to children’s stories, earning their trust, and helping them make sense of experiences that are often complex and painful. The lessons they have shared shape everything we do.
What Drives Us

Our Why

We believe that every behaviour tells a story. Every challenge has context. Every child has potential waiting to be recognised. We have seen children flourish once their needs are understood, and young people thrive when neurodivergence is supported. This work is not just our profession, it is our passion. We feel deeply honoured each time someone trusts us with a child’s story.
Our Approach

How We Work

Creating Opportunities for Change
Sometimes advocating for additional support is needed; sometimes reframing behaviour as communication helps; sometimes it means celebrating the unique qualities neurodivergence brings.

Working as One Team
The best outcomes happen when everyone in a child’s network collaborates toward the same goal, helping them thrive.

Beyond the Assessment

Support That Lasts

Our relationship doesn’t end when the report is submitted. We’re here for follow‑up questions, practical support, and celebrating successes along the way.

Real change takes time, patience and ongoing partnership. We are not just clinicians, we are advocates and allies in every child’s journey toward their best possible future.

Why choose Insight Assessments

We specialise in independent, trauma-informed assessments that are fully NICE-compliant, combining professional rigour with genuine compassion. Working alongside social workers, fostering agencies, carers, educators and parents, we seek to understand each child’s unique story, needs and strengths.
