SUSAN KNIGHT: Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist & Associate Fellow, British Psychological Society.
Susan Knight is a chartered clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist, registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC). She grew up and was educated between Jamaica, the UK and the US and has worked in Child Psychiatry clinics, CAMHS and private practice in Jamaica, then CAMHS in Hampshire and Surrey since 1996 as Principal Clinical Psychologist and CAMHS manager (1996 – 2000). She moved on to Southampton General Hospital as Senior Psychologist and Co-Lead, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (2000 – 2005), and later worked for Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as Lead, Child & Adolescent Psychology Service, across Winchester and Basingstoke hospitals. She worked for Sussex Foundation Mental Health NHS Trust Neurodevelopmental Service in CAMHS, Basingstoke until 2023. She has been in private practice working with WIPC Ltd, carrying out Family Court assessments on children in care, and with Clinical Partners Ltd, offering therapy and assessments for children and young people. She joined Insight Psychological Assessments in 2024. She has worked with young people from many backgrounds and cultures with a wide range of mental health, health-related and neurodevelopmental conditions in a variety of settings – community CAMHS, hospitals, medico-legal, private consulting.
