Ana has worked as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist in the NHS and in the private practice for over 9 years. She is a Specialist Associate Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a member of British Association of Psychopharmacology.
Ana currently works as a Locum Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with the Neurodevelopment team in an NHS trust and in private practice. She has a special interest in interventional psychiatry using TMS therapy in young people with resistant emotional difficulties and severe depression. Ana is a member of International Clinical TMS society and Lead Clinician of the TMS Treatment in Adolescents Affinity Group.
She is passionate about helping young people and their families deal with the challenges of mental health as well as other complexities that young people are faced with. Her specialised training in Systemic Therapy and family dynamics has enabled her to develop a bespoke approach to supporting parents and families with complex needs. She is ADOS, 3Di and QbCheck trained and provides assessment and management of difficulties related to ADHD, ASD, OCD, Anxiety and Depression and Behavioural and Emotional Difficulties. Ana is aware of how important it is to provide a safe and encouraging space for patients and their families. She believes in having a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to create a therapeutic relationship that will enable young patients to feel comfortable, listened to and helped to move forward and thrive.
